Using blogger last year really helped us out as a group, mainly because we could discuss and develop our ideas and concepts not only in the classroom but at home as well. However this year we can use it to help us even further in a number of ways:
- As I mentioned above, the blog allows us to discuss and develop our ideas out of the classroom. We can comment of individual posts which allows us to discuss ideas but also the comments specific to that part will be easy to find under that post. This helps us by ideas and concepts to be recorded and not forgotten.
- We can also add links and embed youtube videos into our posts/comments. This makes things easier for us as a group as we can view others ideas easily without worrying about finding the right clip etc. This allows the rest of the group to give feedback on ideas easily developing our concept further and quicker.
-We can customize the look to create a more aesthetically pleasing blog. As we will be creating a digi-pack for our music video, we can use our images/artwork from this as a background and title image. Relating the look of our blog to our work to create a more professional look.
- New high definition cameras will increase the quality of our music video dramatically. Not only will the video be of much higher quality, but the new cameras have a lot more functions than the older DV cameras, such as manual focus. you can also adjust the aperture etc to create the exact look you want in the video. They also make editing quicker as there is no need to capture the footage into the computer as the video files are saved onto an SD card allowing you to drag and drop the files into the editing software.
