SA - Brighton Reccie

On Wednesday 22nd September we went to Brighton to practice filming potential shots and locations that we could use in our music video production.


We had three HD cameras to film with as we had the schools camera, and Rob has a HD camera and his digital SLR also records HD videos, we found that this availability of cameras would be useful when filming as each camera has different functions. Robs SLR was easier to use when filming shallow depth of field and blurred clips, whereas the other two were good for normal shots, and Robs HD camera was good for continuous filming, we used this for the time lapse shot.

We have decided that one of the main techniques we are going to use in our video is the use of blurring, pull back focus, and shallow depth of field. On the trip we practiced a few of these shots to get the feel for which camera would be best and how much to blur etc. In our reccie video the shots are shown in various locations inside and outside.
